Artist of the week is Hugo Guedes García of Y7B. His papier mache boomerang shows good use of colour, tone, symbols and Aboriginal Art work. He has painted it and then varnished it to make it very hard and shiny. A super effort Hugo, keep it up and well done!

Artist of the week is Martina Planells of Y8D. Her self portrait collage shows excellent use of tone, colour and detail and her work done with little pieces of magazines shows excellent patience. Good work Martina, well done!

Y10 César Manrique
Year 10 art students have been working on a project based on the Canarian artist César Manrique. Looking at his art work and techniques they have produced fantastic sculptures which are on display in the school.

Y12 Art Skeletons
Year 12 art students have been working hard to improve their observation drawing skills and last week they drew a human skeleton using pencils and crayons.

Year 9 students are studying the work of animal artist Ron Burns and we can clearly see that Raquel has enjoyed studying the artist and doing her art work in his style. Art Evening 2019
Congratulations to all year 11, 12 and 13 Art students who have completed their exams. The IGCSE was 8 hours and the AS and A level 15 hours and the students had been preparing for many weeks before.
