Y1 & Y6 Graduations

Dear Parents: as we are unable to organise transition visits for pupils moving between departments we would like to inform you about the initial arrangements we are making to prepare the children for this change.

June 2020

Year 1 (Milton) – Each Y1 class will have a Zoom session to meet their new English and Spanish teachers for the next academic year. Zoom codes will be published on the Year 1 blog as normal.
Year 1A – Wednesday 17th June at 3pm
Year 1B – Monday 15th June at 3pm
Year 1C – Tuesday 16th June at 3pm
Miss Lindsay, the Head of Primary will publish a short explanatory video for parents and information will be published on the web site.

Year 6 (San Lorenzo & Maspalomas) – Each Y6 class will have a Zoom session with Mr Pedro (Head of Secondary) and Mrs Bamber (Head of Lower School) as an introduction to the Secondary department. The times of these will be published on the Y6 class blogs.

Year 1 & Year 6 Graduations
We understand how much the children look forward to events that mark the end of the phases in their school life, especially when they are moving buildings. Although we are unable to hold our normal graduation celebrations this year we still wish to mark the occasion and make it special for them. The teachers will be working with these year groups over the next few weeks to prepare things for our virtual celebrations. These videos and presentations will be posted on the blogs on Thursday 25th June (Year 1) and Friday 26th June (Year 6).

Although we are waiting for official guidelines about the start of the school year 2020-21 we are investigating the possibility of all Infant and Primary pupils starting back in their current class with their current teacher on the first day of term to say a proper goodbye. More information about this will be sent in due course.
All pupils' belongings will be kept safely in the school and sent home with the children at the start of next term.
Please look at the school web page for updates.
