Ruben Dario: Christmas Calendar

Dear Parents,

Once again Christmas is nearly upon us. This is such a busy time of the year that I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the dates of interest.

  • Thursday 6th December – Bank holiday – Día de la Constitución
  • Friday 7th December – School is closed – Teacher’s Day

  • Friday 14th December – Parents afternoon for all children from the Infant Dep. between 13:00 and 16:00 h.

All parents are invited to visit their child’s class, see the work that they have done during the term and speak to the teachers about their child’s progress.

We remind parents that there will be no lunch this day and all children should be collected at 12.30 pm from the playground.

As part of our Christmas celebrations in the Infant Department, the children will be doing a Christmas concert:

On Tuesday 18th Dec at 9am (k2+ k3 parents)

On Wednesday 19th Dec at 9am (k0 + k1 parents)

They will need a simple tunic for the show. There is a basic guide below as to how the tunic should be made.  Please, send it to the teacher marked with the pupil’s name, by Wednesday 5th December at the latest.

You will need approximately 60cms. The tunic should be knee length.

Colour of the satin:

K0: White

K1: Gold

K2: Red

K3: Green

Suggestion: Round neck with small opening at the back with a small fastener.

Friday 21st December:

This day is a “NO UNIFORM DAY” so children can came dressed in their own clothes. Each class will organize a small party, so, if any parent would like to contribute something to eat to share in the class (sandwiches, fruit juices, etc.), this would be very much appreciated.

This year Father Christmas is going to visit all the classes so that the children can personally hand him their “Father Christmas wish list!!” which they have prepared at school.

School closes for the Christmas holiday at 15:30 on Friday 21st December.

That day there will be extracurricular activities.

The spring term will begin at 08:30 am on Tuesday 8th January 2013.

May I take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Yours sincerely,

Anthea Grubb

Deputy Head
