Y6 Marine Laboratory

Colegio-Privado-Internacional-Britanico-Ingles-Las Palmas-Maspalomas-English-School-lab8On Thursday 20th September Year 6 (P5) were lucky enough to be able to go down to the Marine Laboratory which came to school.

 

They were given a talk and then the opportunity to investigate the geological origins of the islands, find out about the characteristics of marine animals such as the turtles which can be found here and discover the microlife which exists in the ocean. They were also able to enhance their knowledge about how different sea creatures adapt to their environment which is on e of the Year 6 science topics. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and learnt a lot.
