Dear Parents,
On Wednesday 9th March 2011 our Department will celebrate a Carnival Party. We are looking forward to seeing our pupils dressed up in their favourite costumes. Please, feel free to send in any Party food (crisps, juice, etc) for the children to share in their classrooms. We would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a great Carnival time.
This Friday 4th March S5 students, coordinated by Miss Frances Harkins, have organised a full day of activities for the rest of the school. All students must come to school that day. S6 will have normal lessons due to the importance of PAU and A level exams.
Students must come to school in school uniform as they will dress up in costumes in school. Also they must bring their books in case the weather is not good enough to have outdoor activities.
Thank you and enjoy Carnival

Esta semana se disputa una nueva jornada de baloncesto. Descárgate la hoja de jornada en formato pdf.

Dear Parents,
Carnival has arrived and we will be celebrating our party on Friday 4th March. We remind parents that this party is for the children to celebrate with their teachers only. This year it would help us to enjoy the day more, if the children came to school already dressed in their costumes. We ask you to ensure that the children wear or bring comfortable shoes as they will be playing games, dancing, etc. throughout the day. It is also important that they bring something warm to wear (coat, jacket) as the weather is changeable and some costumes are very thin. Thank you for your understanding.
The school will be closed for the Carnival Holiday on the 7th and 8th March.
As it is World Book Day on 3rd March, the Secondary English Department are running a competition to celebrate the day and to promote reading.

The idea is that students try to match each teacher with their favourite book. This should be a fun and challenging activity for them, and will hopefully inspire them to read some of the books mentioned.

It will be 1 Euro to take part, and the proceeds will be used to buy a prize for the 3 students who achieve the most correct matches and to purchase the books mentioned in the contest by the teachers so that they can be part of the Secondary Library.

The competition display will be along the main corridor, and entry forms will be available from the English Department next week.

We hope as many students as possible will take part although it has to be emphasized that this a completely voluntary contest

Good Luck!

Artist of the week has been awarded to Andrea Sancho of S1A for her excellent artist study of Gaudi. Andrea is just one of many students in S1A who are working well in their art lessons keep up the good work S1A.
